What is CrossFit?

CrossFit is a fitness regimen that optimizes an individual’s fitness to prepare them for any physical challenge. Not only for the unknown, but for the unknowable. The aim is to forge a broad, general and inclusive fitness. It’s specialty is to not specialize. It consists of constantly varied functional movements performed at relatively high intensity. Where Do I Start?

All levels welcome! CrossFit Welland coaches are trained to instruct all levels of fitness. We also offer a CrossFit LITE class to allow members take some extra time to work on the 9 fundamental movements, work on skills, or just learn more about CrossFit in general!

CrossFit LITE is a great place to start!


  • Learn to Squat, Press, Push, Pull & Lift
  • Progress from simple movements to complex ones
  • Learn to focus on form and technique
  • Understand your own fitness level
  • Have fun & learn in a safe environment with a small group of other new people!


CrossFit Welland is a unique box as it resides in a fully functional fitness club.
All of our coaches are not just CrossFit certified, they are educated, certified, and extremely knowledgeable in many other fitness streams.
 Our WOD’s always come with an Rx and a modified version, so no matter what your fitness level, you can still join the community.
